TODAY'S WORD WITH MARIA FULCHER

TODAY’S WORD WITH MARIA FULCHER
Spiritual leadership is one trait that is expected of Christian men.  However, most men have not seen it modeled in the home they grew up in nor have they heard practical teaching on how to become a spiritual leader.  Here’s a definition in progress of spiritual leadership: “Knowing where God wants you to be and taking the initiative to use God’s methods to get there in reliance on His power.”
The following principles will help you take some of the right first steps in your journey to become the spiritual leader for your family.
Pursue a passionate personal love relationship with God
Focus more on inward character than outward commanding.
Get over the emphasis in just providing for physical needs and focus more on being a servant leader.
Take initiative in shaping the moral and spiritual vision of your family.
Take the lead in reconciling your relationships
Be a transitional spiritual leader in your generation.

One of the key ideas of being a spiritual leader is initiative.  We must take initiative to move forward in our relationship with God so that we can lead our families to move forward.
What will you do?
