100 Ways and 100 Days To Love Your Spouse

October 12, 2011
Today, I am starting 100 Days and 100 Ways To Love Your Spouse.   These things are such simple acts of unconditional love that you can show your spouse.  You will be surprised how quickly he or she begins to notice the love you are showing and then begins to return that love to you.  Do you have 100 days to show your spouse what they mean to you with very simple ways of showing them?  I know I do!  Let’s get started!!!!  Good luck and remember….finish all 100 days….and start over again!!!
100 Days and 100 Ways to Love Your Spouse
Day 1- Respectfully communicate with him

At the end of Day 1, please come back and comment and let me know how it went.  It will encourage others and maybe we can even teach each other about the things we shouldn't be doing as well!

“ ‘Here comes that dreamer!’ they said to each other”
(Genesis, 37:19, NIV)

In scripture, Joseph was a dreamer. His dreams were so real that he just had to tell others about them. Not everyone was as excited about Joseph’s dreams as he was, but that didn’t keep him from dreaming. It didn’t keep him from believing what was in his heart. When opposition came, when his family turned their back on him, when he was falsely accused and thrown into prison, he kept on dreaming. His life didn’t take the route he had expected, but God was working behind the scenes realigning his steps until those dreams in his heart became reality.
Today, I want to encourage you, no matter what route your life has taken, no matter who has turned their back on you, no matter what anyone else has said about you, those God-given dreams in your heart are still in the making. Your part is to keep believing, keep forgiving, keep following your heart, and stay obedient to His Word. As you stay in faith, just like Joseph, God will take you from the pit to the palace. He’ll order your steps and fulfill those dreams and desires He has placed within you!
Prayer for Today:
Dear Heavenly Father:
I pray for my friends today.  I pray they do not give up on their dreams and desires that You have placed within them.  I want to see their dreams realized and coming to fruition through you, Lord.  You have made a promise to us all that we KNOW you are going to keep.  Keep all my friends and family safe, Lord.  In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

Sweet, Irreplaceable Memories....Grandma Boss.....

October 10, 2011
Sweet, Irreplaceable Memories……A tribute to my sweet Grandma Boss…….
The sound of the creak in my Grandma’s rocking chair on a very stormy night, as she holds me in her lap, in the hallway….safe from the tornadoes.  I am way too old and too big to be sitting in my Grandma’s lap.  But, she doesn’t mind.  In fact, she prefers that I sit in her lap as she keeps me safe in her arms.  My feet are dragging the hardwood floor…..yes, I am too big for this.  Or am I?  I love you Grandma.  I know our years are now becoming numbered together.  I want you to know that you are my heart.  You are everything I have always strived to be like, with your 11th grade education.  Never even graduating from high school, just 2 weeks shy to go work in the mill to help your mother support your sisters….never even graduating high school, yet you are the wisest person I know.  Quite possibly, the wisest person on Earth.  You have taught me probably everything I need to in life.  Wake up each morning and decide for that day only, if you are going to be happy.  Love with everything in you.  Never be quick to judge.  Always smile at others as you pass them on the street.  It’s contagious….like yawning.  LOL….I just yawned.  Never go to bed mad….it makes harder to decide to be happy the next day.  J  But, more than anything……love the Lord with all you heart, all your soul and all your mind.  The rest is gravy.
I love you Grandma Boss.
Love always,
Maria

Dreary day here in Madison.  I know we need the rain, but I just hate the rain! The Fulchers got up at 6:30ish….and got movin’ about.  Preparing for the day is always kinda’ slow movin’ at our house.  It could definitely be worse though.  I had to make 3 lunches this morning.  Surprisingly, Dalton wanted to take his lunch today.  Apparently, it’s not as “lame” as I thought to take your lunch to school in the 10th grade.  J
Today, on the agenda, is work, work, work.  I love my job!  After work, I have to pick up Thomas and take him to the soccer field.  At this point, 1:18 p.m., I’m not real sure if they will even play with the rain comin’ down like it is right now.  Then, it’s off to get Reagan from home.  Her cheerleading practice was called off today.  Then, back to either pick up Dalton or watch the remainder of Thomas’s game, whichever happens first.  We never can tell with Dalton’s football practice.  I suspect with a new quarterback and after Friday night’s loss, they will be later today.
Today, in the Lord’s word, I am focused on Philippians 3:13….“...One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead”.

In order to move forward in life, we have to “let go of the past.” But have you ever wondered exactly how to do that? First, understand that we take hold of things in our minds with our thoughts. Our thoughts become words and actions that determine the direction of our lives. It’s that simple. If you want to choose a new direction for your life, you have to choose new thoughts. If you want to let go of the past, you have to quit thinking about it, quit talking about it, and quit reliving every negative experience.
Oftentimes, when we see someone who has hurt us, that pain and offense is stirred up, and we start thinking about what happened again. But in that moment, you have a choice to make. One of the best things you can do, instead of rehearsing the hurt, is to pray for that person and speak blessing over them.
Remember, forgiveness is for you. Letting go of bitterness is for you. Don’t let the past hold you back from what God has in store for your future any longer. Get past the past by choosing right thoughts because God has victory and blessing in store for your future!
I am a firm believer in….”We are what we think.”  What do you think you are?  Ready and set to hear all your comments!
Have a blessed day!
Maria
